Well, here I am, starting a blog…

We’ll start with the basics. I’m working towards a BA in English, am newly married, and prefer a quiet evening at home with a good book, good music, or a good movie to just about anything else.

Now… my reason for being here. Since I am a rather sarcastic little person, I often find myself critiquing (read: ranting about) books, movies and music. These rants often lead to lively discussions with friends about the merits of whatever it is that has piqued our interest.

I’ve decided to post the fruits of some of the more interesting debates here in this blog, hopefully to keep the discussion going and bring in new ideas that I haven’t encountered before. Since I’m most passionate about reading and literature, I’ll limit my rants to books for now and see how that goes.
